INTRUDUCE
Slump test is an
empirical test / method used to determine the consistency / rigidity ( feasible
or not ) of freshly mixed concrete ( fresh concrete ) to determine the level of
its workability . Stiffness
in a concrete mix shows how much water is in use. For
the slump test indicates whether the concrete mixture deficiency , excess , or
enough water .
In a mortar / concrete mix , water content is of considerable concern because of its workability determines the level or not . Liquid concrete mixture that is too low will cause the concrete quality , and longer to dry . While the mixture is too dry concrete mix causing uneven and difficult to print .
Slump test refers to ISO 1972-2008 and ICS 91.100.30
Slump can be done in the laboratory and in the field ( usually when ready mix up , tested every arrival ) . The results of the concrete is Slump Test Slump value . Values shown are expressed in international units ( SI ) and have standards .

MATERIAL AND METHODS
MATERIALS
1.Fresh concrete (fresh concrete) taken at
random in order to represent the
overall concrete.
EQUIPMENT:
1. Truncated cone (pointy cone part is lost) as a slump mold. Bottom diameter 30 cm, diameter of 10 cm, height 30 cm.
2. Round metal rod with a length of ± 50 cm in diameter 10-16 mm.
3. Flat metal plate as base and water-resistant
4. spoon mixture
5. Measure tape

4. spoon mixture
5. Measure tape
TEST PHASE Slump:
1. Dampen the mold cone and plate with a damp cloth
2. Place the mold on a plate
3. Fill 1/3 molds with fresh concrete, condense as much evenly with a metal rod with a thrust. This layer is done by pricking the edges of the iron is tilted in accordance with the mold wall. Make sure the iron touch the bottom. Perform 25-30 x prick.
4. Fill 1/3 the next section (be filled 2/3) with the same thing as much as 25-30 x prick. Make sure the iron touch the first layer.
5. Fill 1/3 as the final stages of number 4
6. Once completed compacted, flatten the specimen surface, wait about half a minute. While waiting outside wipe excess concrete in the mold and plate.
7. Mold slowly lifted straight up
8. Measure the value of slump with reverse cone next to it using the average difference in height of the specimen.
9. Tolerance values of fresh concrete Slump ± 2 cm
10. If the slump value in accordance with the standards, the concrete can be used

RESULTS AND DISCUSSION
VALUE
CALCULATION Slump :
VALUE = High Slump mold - the average height of the test specimen
VALUE = High Slump mold - the average height of the test specimen
Slump value standard commonly used :
0-25 mm for highway
10-40 mm for the foundation (low workability)
50-90 mm for normal reinforced concrete using vibrators (medium workability)
> 100 mm for high workability
0-25 mm for highway
10-40 mm for the foundation (low workability)
50-90 mm for normal reinforced concrete using vibrators (medium workability)
> 100 mm for high workability
4.
CONCLUSION
The
advantages of Slump Test is to be done by all people: easy to do and easy to
measure, even by artisan / worker
though. So this
test is more popular
than other tests and is still used , so do not pass the test concrete slump
will not be used in the field, because if forced
will damage the road or the building itself, all the existing
laws and regulations will be subject to sanctions if violated
